Hotel Dama

Vibe

Artistic sanctuary

Location

Zamora 94, Colonia Condesa, Cuauhtémoc, Ciudad de México, DF 06140

Style

Mid-century refined

Hotel Dama sits on a tree-lined street in Mexico City’s Condesa neighborhood, housed in a preserved 1950s building that blends mid-century character with a more contemporary, refined edge.

The overall feel is intimate and artistic rather than corporate, with each of the hotel’s three floors carrying its own distinct personality, from a sunken library lounge with a mid-century sensibility to a jacaranda-shaded rooftop terrace up top. It reads less like a typical hotel stay and more like slipping into a well-designed private residence.

Rooms lean boutique and understated, spanning options like the Standard Courtyard King, Premium Balcony King, and Superior Courtyard Double Queen, each offering a slightly different view or layout but sharing that same warm, considered aesthetic. Breakfast is included with every stay, served up on the rooftop, which doubles as the hotel’s social hub.

That rooftop space, Dama Terraza, is one of the property’s defining features: a bar and restaurant tucked among blooming jacarandas, serving Mexican-American comfort food with a dose of artisanal local decor. It functions as both a quiet daytime hideout and a livelier evening spot, giving guests a reason to stay on-property even with Condesa’s restaurant scene right outside the door.

Location does a lot of the heavy lifting here too. Guests are within easy reach of Parque México and Parque España, Chapultepec Castle, and the National Museum of Anthropology, with subway access and bike rentals nearby for exploring further into Polanco, Roma, and Coyoacán.

Onsite parking isn’t available, though street parking works fine in this generally safe part of the city. Altogether, Hotel Dama comes across as a stylish, plant-filled base for travelers who want boutique charm and walkable access to Mexico City’s cultural core.
