Branded Boutique (Curio Collection by Hilton)
This 107-year-old boutique hotel is in the heart of downtown Omaha, located a block from the City, opposite the Federal Law courts. This 89 room hotel features the Habitat Restaurant with contemporary cuisine and the city’s only hotel rooftop Takeoff Bar with views of the City, Creighton University and the Missouri River.
Modelled on the historic Brandeis Theater, this former office building has been designated a Local Landmark by the City of Omaha. Transformed into a nouvelle art-deco style boutique hotel, the inspiration and design came from a successful Peregrine falcon breeding program that has continued in the adjacent WoodmenLife tower since 1988.
Creating a selling feature from a challenge of adding views to 30 internal guest rooms, the architect created a six story, open air light well. In addition, a mural of a stylized Peregrine falcon designed by world renowned local artist Dave Koenig, was painted onto all six stories. The result is a rare close-up view of the mural, exclusive to guests staying in the Falcon View rooms.
Stemming from Latin, the word “peregrine” means traveler and “peregrination” means journey. The hotel’s name also celebrates the richness of diversity discovered through our collective journey, while embracing equity and inclusion for guests and team members alike. You are invited to discover new meaning in your journey, becoming part of the … “Peregrine Nation”.
