White Cube New York

Vibe

Historical contemporary

Location

1002 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10075

Style

Sophisticated and Intimate

White Cube New York opened at 1002 Madison Avenue, Manhattan, on 3 October 2023. Constructed in 1930, the building houses public gallery spaces and private viewing rooms across three floors. White Cube, founded by Jay Jopling in London in 1993, gained its reputation as the first gallery to give one-person shows to many of the Young British Artists, including Tracey Emin and Damien Hirst. The freshly renovated space boasts 8,000 square feet of airy, white-walled exhibition and viewing room space, with natural light filling two of the floors — a luminous, architecturally confident arrival on a block already rich with blue-chip neighbours. Its vision is to make the contemporary historic and the historic contemporary. Madison Avenue has never looked quite so restless.
