BLLA Member, Marram, Debuts Luxurious Suites, New Programming and Expansion of On-Site Cafe Mostrador Marram
MONTAUK, NEW YORK – Beloved Montauk resort Marram is officially reopening its doors for the 2022 season, welcoming back those looking to escape the hustle of city life this summer. Situated directly on the Atlantic Ocean, the luxury boutique retreat just steps away from town, is rolling out season upgrades including two new suites, wellness workshops and a new cocktail program.
Named after the wild grass that grows on the sand dunes surrounding the property, Marram encourages guests to slow down and focus on life’s simple pleasures. The 96-room resort designed by Brooklyn’s The Post Company, features a newly redesigned open-air communal lounge, beach access and an on-property counter service South American café, Mostrador Marram, helmed by Fernando Trocca of the beloved Mostrador Santa Teresita, and Martín Pittaluga of the lauded Parador La Huella. A community favorite for their seasonally crafted rotating menus, beachfront grilling and fresh homemade pastries, Mostrador will be debuting a new menu of classic cocktails inspired by the flavors of South America. Specialties like the Brazilian caipiroska and Cuban mojito will complement a wine list including Argentinian and Uruguayan natural wines as well as labels from local Long Island wineries. Guests can also expect the return of Mostrador’s housemade lemonades and kombuchas.
In addition to updates to the resort’s food and beverage program, Marram is debuting two new luxury suites, taking design cues from the resort’s standard rooms including art by renowned beach and surf photographer Brian Bielmann and minimalist line-work from Rhode Island-based musician and artist Sean Spellman. Both 650 square feet suites offer plush linens from Frette, amenities from Le Labo, steam showers, a lounge and kitchen space, as well as outdoor spaces overlooking the ocean. The upper level Terrace Suite’s oceanfront balcony allows guests to take in unparalleled sunset views, while the Garden Suite has a private outdoor dining space, ideal for hosting events.
Marram encourages guests to embrace nature during their stay, with programming centered around connecting to the earth, spirituality and creativity. Situated only steps away from the coveted Terrace surf break and alongside the verdant Shadmoor State Park, which offers hiking and biking trails throughout its scenic bluffs, the resort offers free guided nature walks, Retrospec® cruiser bicycle rentals to explore, daily yoga, meditation, evening beach fires with smores and stargazing expeditions.
